bora bora bora boracay

ok, so i'm the third person to use the title. heheh! went to boracay last week. had so much fun. now, it seems so long ago. going back to work does that to you. but still, thanks to the company for sponsoring this great summer outing. i rode on the banana boat, did not fall, so i tried parasailing. so far, that's the most daring thing i've done in my life. it was fun, though a bit scary. but i think it really is worth it. i'll be going there again this September. sana lang walang bagyo that time. maybe then i'll try the Flying Fish and look out for more adventure. i'm sure it'll be great again. anyway, more pics? i have more here. enjoy! :)

updates, updates, updates

ok first of all, i've moved! i've been in my new apartment for 2 weeks now, and i just finished unpacking all my stuff. i still have to get rid/sell some of my things, but at least now i can move around the house. i got a studio apartment, somewhere very near my office. rent's almost thrice my last one, but i think that's the price you pay for living alone (in makati). living alone is quite new to me. i still get late to work because i have trouble sleeping. and i can't sleep because i'm still a bit freaked. i have to leave a night light and the TV on (i need the light and the noise). i've been meaning to invite some people over for some sort of "house-warming party". but my place is much smaller now, so it won't be much of a party if we can't breathe anymore. but if you want to bring a lounge chair for my balcony (see pic above) as a house-warming gift, then you're very much welcome. hehe! i'm on the 24th floor by the way, so just think about that before you decide to look down from my balcony. the view is still nice though. anyway, if you could help me, i'm trying to sell my blue orocan drawers. the condo's got a built-in cabinet so i'm using that instead. besides, i'm trying to make the place less crowded. i initially thought of selling my gigantic sofa, but it's got sentimental value and i can't bear to get rid of it... yet. (sorry for the tons of pics, i don't have a resizing or "collaging" tool right now. :p) ----------------------------------------------------------------- last April 27, after a month of medication, i went back to have my FT4 and TSH levels checked. good news is, the meds seem to be working, my FT4 is down to 53.36 from >100. however, that is not yet normal (ceiling for normal level is 22). but i've been feeling "more normal" lately. i don't feel so warm anymore, sometimes i even feel cold (omg!). i don't pant so much and even the trembling of my hands lessened. i relatively can sleep easier now, if only i am less freaked by my new apartment. but, i became less jolly and still easily irritated. and worse of all, i am still fat! anyway, i still have to go back to ask for new medication. they need to adjust the strength otherwise, i'll have hypothyroidism instead. but i'm currently on a 11-day work week (more about that later) and things are really hectic, so i'm already 2-weeks off medication. i just hope my thyroids did not decide to overwork again just because i'm off my meds and make me start all over again. ----------------------------------------------------------------- we're going to Boracay next week!!! and the best thing about it is, it's free!! well, almost. our company outing will be in Boracay. it's going to be my first time to step on the Visayan region and i'm really excited (though i'm trying not to be). everything is paid for, except for our lunches. too bad i am still fat. but dont wont stop me from partying, drinking and eating! i dont plan to spend too much time on water though since i can't swim. anyway, i still have to buy lots of stuff for the trip. and i still don't have a big enough bag (or a bag smaller than my luggage bag). anyone willing to lend me a bag? :D

mostly on the bottom part of the wheel lately

yeah? ok first, i have to move out again. this would be my 4th move in my 4-years of working life. why? coz someone else just bought the unit we're renting and they, the new owners, won't rent it out. i have to find a new place before April ends. and looking around with no car is definitely a pain in the A. anyway, thanks to Ryan for patiently playing my bodyguard, now we know what his 6-ft stature is for. secondly, i've been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. it's not that serious, but i have to avoid most of my favorite things in life, which really stinks. like coffee for instance; i just went from 2-3 cups of "12" to 1 cup of "6" per day; this is to lessen the palpitations. i have to minimize my sugar intake also, which translates to chocolates (waah!), so i don't get too hyperactive. and last but definitely not the least, i can NOT/must NOT eat crabs, shrimps and other shelled sea food since they are rich in iodine, which i assume i must lessen (no iodized salt then too!). my FT4 (i think that's the enzyme being secreted by the thyroid) are 4 times the normal level and i have to take medication for AT LEAST a month. after a month, they'll take my blood again to check my FT4 level and adjust the meds as necessary. until then, no crabs and no heavy exercise (but i insist on playing badminton and take my hiphop dance classes). on the bright side, i intend to take advantage of this anomaly, try to lose more weight, having summer time as my excuse to do so. but since i can't exercise as much, i picture i'd be thin yet still flabby. yuck! anyway, in case you were wondering, i apparently have most of the symptoms already, i just didn't think they were related...
  • i am hyperactive (but you all know that's really natural for me)
  • i can eat a lot (and i mean, a LOT) and not gain weight easily, i can lose weight easily also
  • i always feel hot (even when everybody's shivering, at night i sleep with the aircon and fan on)
  • my fingers and hands are slightly trembling (i just thought i was pasmado, without the sweating)
  • i get tired easily, and always catching my breath (i wheeze, yuck!)
  • i have trouble sleeping at night, but honestly Jonas' Sleepasil usually works
if you feel any of these symptoms, you might want to have you thyroid glands checked. also, if you feel the opposite of these symptoms (like gaining weight easily, feeling cold, etc..), you might want to have you thyroids checked also for hypothyroidism. anyway, hopefully in the next weeks or so, i'll get back to the top of the wheel again. and i'm hoping that would include a new apartment, and a more manageable thyroid problem, among other things. i'm almost there, i could feel it. but a push up from you is always welcome, so let me thank you in advance.

300

i love this movie! i saw it last Friday and my only regret was that i wasn't able to see it last Wednesday when they first showed it. i loved everything about the movie; the story, the actors, the cinematography, the effects, the action scenes, etc. if you're a guy, then you'll want to see this movie because of the fight/war scenes that'll put LOTR and Troy to shame. if you're a girl and this kind of movie is not even your type, then seeing the Spartan's rock-hard abs would make it all worthwhile (they don't need armor when they fight, they've got rock-hard abs!). yeah i know, pointing out this kind of fact is so not me. sabi nga ni mapet, "hala cherry nagiging babae ka na!" at kasalanan yun ng lahat ng six-pack abs sa movie. if you still need some convincing as to why see the movie, then here in my friend Dac's blog, she'll tell you why in a more "appropriate" manner (the abs weren't even mentioned). maybe you're wondering why there are no famous actors in the cast, but i tell you now, that doesn't matter. i think it helped that there are no big actors in this movie. i really can't tell why, but just check it out yourself. besides the obvious Gerard Butler (Phantom of the Opera), watch out also for Michael Fassbender, Tom Wisdom and Rodrigo Santoro (Love Actually, Charlie's Angels 2). Remember Brad Pitt's side-stepping attack move in Troy??? walang binatbat yun sa leaping attacks ni Michael Fassbender. i'd love to see it again! so if you're watching it anytime soon, and DO watch it soon, please invite me and i just might join you! :)

why do we keep it?

i am stealing mark's idea. sorry meng, i've been wanting to do this, too. now, i have a format to follow. wehehe! :P Find all your posts that never got past the "draft" stage. Take the title, and the date on which it was supposed to be posted. Add the first line (or few words) of the original post, then comment on what the post was about, to add more context to your drafts. "on senti mode" July 11, 2004
Borrowing a line from the movie "The Mexican": When can you say that enough is enough?
i think this has something to do with me wanting to move on from my "recent break-up" back then. you know, you want to move on but can't seem to find the strength to do so, thus the senti mode. "i love you, part 1" September 6, 2005
I am really bad in expressing my "love" in words. The "mushiness" of it all makes me really uncomfortable. And unfortunately, i tend to not say "i love you" to people i love the most...
i wanted people to know how bad i am with this love deal and was trying to make-up for it by making this series of "dedicated to you coz i love you" blogs. but obviously, i never got around to finishing them. "it's harder than you think" October 24, 2005
" i love you, i'm just not sure if i'm in love with you" if you've heard this line just recently, then i suggest you stop reading RIGHT NOW....
for some reason, i found myself in a situation where i was pressured to make a choice right then and there. anyway, in the end, things went back to normal and the "other choice" disappeared that i didn't need to decide. "how come..." December 22, 2005
... after you've done something that's best for all, it still feels wrong?
damn! i dunno what i was thinking! i hate Christmas season. hehe! :D "post-valentine and pre-birthday post" February 28, 2006
i can't believe i'm turning 25 in 2 days. i'm a quarter-of-a-century old! i always thought that by 25, i'll be accomplished, successful and content...
bwahahaha! and now, i am 26! hmmm.... "missing old friends and old times" April 20, 2006
last monday night, i decided to buy two big containers where i can put all the junk i collected over the years. apparently, the two big containers were not enough...
well, the point of this blog is that i rediscovered old letters, pictures and what-nots, made me definitely miss high school where things were much much simpler. and btw, i still miss you guys everyday. "taking a vacation is BADDDDD!" November 9, 2006
i took a 4-day leave last week and had a 9-day vacation. sure it was great while it lasted. but now, i am being punished for it...
what i meant by being punished is that after i returned from my vacation, it took me a very long time to get my work-groove back. and it sucks because lots of things were happening back then. my latest blog is still in draft mode but i'm still hoping that i'll get around to publishing it soon. anyway, so do i have to tag people now???
